To better understand how Brandor reached the point where it can promise what no other wholesaler can, we need to go back a few years.

The beginning

Before Brandor became the second-hand wholesaler it is today, there was just one person who had started reselling premium vintage clothing on Vinted for himself, just like many people do today.

For several years, he sourced each item and negotiated to buy at the best possible price before reselling individually or in vintage clothing lots. Just like any reseller starting out.

The result?

  • A very time-consuming business in order to maintain quality
  • A strategy incompatible with high volumes
  • Prices that were difficult to negotiate and did not allow for high margins

As the business grew, he naturally turned to clothing wholesalers for resale in order to handle larger volumes. The logical next step.

The results this time?

  • Mixed lots containing unsellable items (holes, stains, etc.)
  • Very long delivery times from public wholesalers, sometimes several months before delivery
  • No transparency regarding the actual quality and misleading descriptions
  • Orders full of mistakes or that sometimes never arrived at all
  • The worst possible value for money
  • Non-existent after-sales services that disappeared as soon as a problem arose

This is not an isolated case, it is an observation. Any reseller has experienced these issues and many still deal with them today.

The observation

In France, and across Europe, it has become very difficult, if not almost impossible, to find a reliable supplier with permanent stock and attractive prices. If we take stock of the situation, we have:

  • Public wholesalers: deliveries several months later, mixed lots, unsellable items and non-existent after-sales service
  • Semi-wholesalers: limited stock, not suitable for high-volume operations and regular restocking
  • Local resellers: high prices, little room for margins and very difficult to resell because resale prices are also high
  • Thrift wholesalers: quality is not always consistent, few Grade A garments, limited quantities and no possibility of handling large volumes
  • Vinted: margins are even more difficult, no way to build up stock, therefore very limited quantities, no bulk purchasing and consequently higher prices

Searching for a solution

The question then became:

How can we find a reliable supplier in Europe capable of solving all these problems?

This is how Brandor’s supply network was created, and it continues to grow today. By working closely with sellers and sorting centres in Pakistan, we can already provide 3 concrete new solutions:

  • Premium clothing quality: a trusted supplier on site ensures that we have priority access to the best lots on the market
  • Consistent volume: by sourcing directly from local wholesalers and sorting centres, we make sure we can regularly order large quantities and bring in 40,000 garments every month.
  • Unbeatable prices: a direct contact on site with whom prices are negotiated, no intermediary involved, the garments are delivered directly to our premises and are stored and sorted in France

This network makes it possible to bring large quantities of premium vintage clothing into our warehouses, with a quality close to new. Over the years, it has proven to be a formidable asset.

But until then, it had benefited only one person. One reseller among the 23 million people in France who use Vinted, without even counting other platforms and other ways of reselling second-hand clothing.

As the market continued to grow, there was a real solution to provide. And that is how Brandor was born.

From reseller to vintage clothing wholesaler

To establish ourselves as a reliable wholesaler, we went even further and introduced 3 additional solutions:

  • Rigorous monitoring: all incoming stock is sorted by hand to ensure that the quality received matches what was promised, then each clothing bale is packed manually to avoid any order mistakes.
  • Fast shipping: a partnership with GLS, whose facilities are located on site with us, allows us to dispatch orders quickly and deliver them to you within 72 hours.
  • Responsive after-sales service: everything is centralised in our warehouse in the South of France. There are no other intermediaries before the goods reach you, which allows us to handle requests easily, quickly and efficiently.

Each item is selected on site so that only the best quality is kept. This allows us to supply 80% Grade A and 20% Grade B. The best quality for easy and fast resale, with maximum profit potential.

All these promises can be kept thanks to this network, which has been developed and proven over several years, as well as the logistics centralisation we manage directly in France.
